HYFIN is proud to introduce a new live series called ‘Latest & Greatest.’ Inspired by the Instagram series hosted by HYFIN’s Anthony Foster. On May 26 at The Back Room at Colectivo, the first show will feature hip-hop jazz artist Emmitt James, NilexNile and A.C. The Ruler.

From the press release:

After spending the last eight years in Los Angeles, Hip Hop-Jazz artist Emmitt James returns to the city that loved him first and he’s not coming back empty-handed. Friday, May 26th at 7:00 pm, Emmitt James celebrates the release of his new album “Undeniably Ground-Breakingly Excellent” (UGBE) at The Back Room. The night will feature guest sets by NilexNile and AC the Ruler, along with James closing the night out with a live Hip Hop-Jazz band.

Since being billed for Pharcyde Phestival ( 2018), Emmitt has been gaining momentum from opening for legendary acts such as The Pharcyde and Yasiin Bey (formerly known as Mos Def) to contemporary acts like Cuco, Joey Purp, Duckwrth, Old Man Saxon, Jay Prince, Banesworld and more. He also was a semi-finalist (top 12 out of 1,000) in the Adidas Originals Sound Lab grant competition, where he scored a meeting with Pusha T at ComplexCon 2018.
