July’s HYFIN Verified artists – Flyana Boss, Madison McFerrin, Partyat4, Iniko, and Silas Short

This month’s verified artists are Flyana Boss, Madison McFerrin, Partyat4, Iniko and Silas Short. These artists have been selected for their unique sounds, creativity, and cultural influence. Listeners can expect special on-air and online features throughout the month, including exclusive content and interviews.

Hailing from Detroit and Dallas, Flyan are classically trained musicians who have turned their raw musical genius into a flossy irresistible package that will have you thirsty for more. Their messaging, witty rhymes, gritty production, impeccable timing, confident expression, ownership of their sexuality and keen pulse on the inner consciousness of the millennial, gen-y and gen-z put them in the perfect position to take over your entire timeline and playlist. Even the legend Missy Elliot is a fan.

Performing at HYFIN’s Anti-Gala on August 3rd, Madison McFerrin has earned accolades from The New York Times, NPR, The FADER, and Pitchfork, who named her a Rising Artist in 2018. Her genre-bending work has led to Questlove dubbing her early sound “soul-appella.” In addition to a stirring performance on the renowned COLORS Studio platform, McFerrin has also performed at Lincoln Center, Central Park SummerStage and BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn, and shared stages with the likes of De La Soul, Gallant, and The Roots.

Milwaukee native Partyat4 has been making waves with singles “Red Bottoms” and “To Da Moon,” which hit the Top 30 on Billboard’s Rhythmic chart. Partyat4 effortlessly combines rap and classic R&B in his musical style and flow.

Iniko is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter from Brooklyn, New York. Known for their cosmic music and unique style, Iniko makes music for soul searchers. By fusing sinewy vocals, the musicality of a poly instrumentalist, and their adventurous imagination, their music tackles themes of anxiety, damaged romance, and philosophy with warmth and whimsy. Their song “The King’s Affirmation” went viral on TikTok and represented their growth as an artist. Iniko identifies as nonbinary and wants to use their music to stand up for their peers in the queer community. They are currently working on a new project that reflects both their journey and experiences with others.

HYFIN Anti-Gala performer and Milwakee native Silas Short Silas Short is a singer and musician who produces his own music, synthesizing influences from soul and classic R&B. Silas Short’s route to releasing music was nothing less than difficult, including shattering a bone in his left hand at age 19 while delivering pizzas, subsequently developing his own self-described “Liquid-Style” guitar playing.
