Iniko defines their life, celebrates identity & shares inspiration behind their music

I sat down with Iniko to discuss the impact of their contributions to the music industry and on the broader culture. In the mist of our discussion, I had to acknowledge that Iniko has shifted the sound and expectations of the industry, creating a movement of artists who share their stories through visuals and sounds normally reserved for movie goers. Iniko’s audiences seek more ambient sounds and expect more abstract visuals to complete the full package. Although the artist expressed gratitude for the acknowledgement, they have had a hard time seeing how their music is moving people. During our conversation we both emphasized the importance of living authentically, in this day and age where it can be challenging to express who you really are. Iniko has not only created their own mold, but they have found a way to fit into one built for them and their industry counter parts.
