This month’s verified artists are Kari Faux, NNAMDI, The Shindellas, Daisha McBride and Lavi$h. These artists have been selected for their unique sounds, creativity, and cultural influence. Listeners can expect special on-air and online features throughout the month, including exclusive content and interviews.

Meet Lavi$h, a young artist whose sound is as lavish as his name suggests. Crafting a harmonious blend of hip-hop, R&B, and pop, he has created a unique rhythmic fusion that’s become his signature style. This rapper/singer/songwriter is one of the most thrilling talents to emerge from his generation, and he’s just getting started.

Kari Faux, a multi-disciplinary artist from Little Rock, now based in Los Angeles, has emerged as a dynamic force in the Hip Hop scene. Known for her unique rhyming, confidence, and sultry vocal harmonies, she’s expanded her creativity into modeling, DJing, and producing. With upcoming projects and recent tours, Kari’s influence continues to grow, marking her as a fearless and outspoken voice in the industry.

Over the last few years, Faux has added modeling, DJing, and producing under her creative belt. Kari’s established herself an asset and profitable partner, DJing for numerable companies including Puma, Hennessy For Complexcon and Depop, and producing a track on The Internet’s Hive Mind album. Not only has Kari’s music been featured in all three seasons of HBO’s hit series Insecure, but she also landed a noteworthy gig modeling for Pyer Moss, winner of the 2018 CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund, in his FW ’18 NYFW Show.

Chicago’s experimental producer NNAMDÏ blends diverse genres, from lo-fi math rock to abstract hip-hop, defying categorization and reflecting his D.I.Y. background in music that constantly evolves. NNAMDÏ has dazzled the music world with his genre-fusing works, including his critically acclaimed LP “Brat” and punk EP “Black Plight.” Co-owner of Sooper Records and a recent tour performer with top bands, his latest album, “Please Have A Seat,” marks a refreshing creative reset.

Beatnik group The Shindellas are a female band formed under the belief that when women come together, powerful things can happen. The Shindellas are comprised of three brilliantly talented women, Kasi Jones (Singer), Stacy Johnson (Singer/Guitarist) and Tamara Chauniece (Singer). Each member was introduced by multi-platinum, Grammy- nominated, songwriting and production duo, Chuck Harmony and Claude Kelly, also known as the progressive band Louis York. The Shindellas explore Jazz, Soul and true R&B to create a unique genre of music for their audience. They are proponents of self-love, empowerment, and elegance, which are tenets they work hard to spread through their music.

Daisha McBride, also known as “The Rap Girl”, is an American rapper and songwriter from Knoxville, TN. Her dedication for freestyle videos on YouTube is what lead to discoverability & success through Vine and Instagram, which continues today in creating the kind of music she loves. “The Rap Girl”, she achieved this nickname through High School as being one the kids always freestyling in the lunch room.
