The Milky Way Tech Hub has announced the launch of its 2024 Accelerator Program, which will take place from May 6th to May 17th, 2024. The two-week intensive program aims to provide participating founders with the necessary tools and knowledge to integrate AI effectively and ethically into their business models, foster growth through mentorship, and celebrate entrepreneurial risk-taking.
The program, themed #InnovationSzn, is a collaborative effort between the Milky Way Tech Hub, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation (WEDC), and Milwaukee Turners. The Milky Way Tech Hub’s mission is to create inclusive spaces that support underestimated founders, students, community members, and voters while building and strengthening a diverse and innovative startup community.
Nadiyah Johnson, CEO of Jet Constellations and its social impact initiative, the Milky Way Tech Hub, expressed enthusiasm for the program, stating, “Our community is eager for an opportunity like the Spring 2024 Accelerator, where they can enhance their product offerings and test the viability of their ideas.”
The Spring 2024 Accelerator offers sponsorship opportunities, including virtual matchmaker events, keynote remarks, interactive workshops, and employee volunteer opportunities for startup mentorship. The program will provide entrepreneurship and intellectual property curriculum, mentorship from experienced professionals, and funding opportunities ranging from $5,000 to $25,000 for participating startups.
With a focus on intellectual property and artificial intelligence, the accelerator will cover essential business topics such as operations, marketing, and finance. The program aims to nurture a thriving ecosystem of innovative founders and companies in the Midwest by fostering social capital alongside access to funding and resources.
