Grammy-winning artist Ms. Lauryn Hill and iconic hip-hop group The Fugees are set to bring their highly anticipated reunion tour to Milwaukee this summer. The concert, part of The Miseducation Anniversary Tour, will take place on Friday, August 30, at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater.
This tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of Hill’s groundbreaking solo album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” which was recently named the best album of all time by Apple Music. Fans can expect to hear tracks from this landmark release, as well as music from The Fugees’ critically acclaimed album “The Score.”
The Milwaukee show is part of a 21-date tour spanning the United States and Europe. YG Marley will join as a supporting act, adding to the evening’s star-studded lineup.
Tickets for the Milwaukee concert will go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 28, at 10:00 AM local time via Ticketmaster.com or at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater Box Office. Various presale options will be available starting June 25, including a Citi cardmember presale.
The tour not only promises an unforgettable musical experience but also supports important causes. Two dollars from each ticket sold will be donated to the MLH Fund, benefiting initiatives focused on mental health, women’s wellness, community small business development, and education throughout the diaspora.
Ms. Lauryn Hill’s influence on music, fashion, and culture is immeasurable. “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” achieved numerous firsts, including being the first hip-hop album to receive the Album of the Year Grammy Award. Hill also became the first woman to be nominated for 10 Grammy awards in one year and the first to win five in a single night.
The reunion of Hill with The Fugees adds another layer of excitement to the tour. The group’s chemistry and innovative sound helped define an era in hip-hop, making this a must-see event for music enthusiasts.
