“Private Room” is an R&B track that demonstrates J.P.’s versatility as an artist. The song’s production blends elements of hip-hop and R&B, resulting in a contemporary sound. J.P. collaborated with Hardheaded and A-Lau to write the track.
J.P. is balancing his career as an emerging artist with his responsibilities as a student-athlete, majoring in music and playing basketball at The University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. His trained classical jazz vocalist background sets him apart in the rap scene.
