R&B legend Frankie Beverly Passes Away at the age of 78

Frankie Beverly, renowned R&B singer and frontman of Maze, passed away on September 10, 2024. The Beverly family announced his death in a statement.” He lived his life with pure soul as one would say, and for us, no one did it better. He lived for his music, family and friends,” the family stated.

Beverly began his musical journey in Philadelphia, singing gospel in his local church choir as a young student. Beverly founded Maze in Philadelphia in 1970, initially naming the group Raw Soul.
