Jerrilynn Patton, known professionally as Jlin, is an Indiana-based composer and producer making waves in the electronic music scene since her debut in 2011. Mentored by footwork pioneers RP Boo and DJ Rashad, Jlin has released critically acclaimed albums such as “Dark Energy” (2015) and “Black Origami” (2017). Her latest offering, “Akoma,” represents a significant evolution in her sound, featuring sharper editing, broader scope, and monumental arrangements. The album explores Jlin’s unique style of footwork, merging the genre’s foundation with various rhythmic musics from around the globe, and includes collaborations with artists like Björk, the Kronos Quartet, and Philip Glass.

Inglewood, California native SiR (Sir Darryl Farris) is an R&B singer and songwriter known for his soulful voice and introspective lyrics. Growing up in a musical family, SiR honed his skills at the Los Angeles Film School before collaborating with notable artists like Stevie Wonder and Jill Scott. His latest album, “Heavy,” is his most personal work to date, delving into his struggles with addiction, fame, and navigating success. The pandemic played a significant role in the album’s creation, with SiR confronting his demons and embarking on a journey of personal growth. “Heavy” is a testament to SiR’s resilience and commitment to honesty and vulnerability in his art.

South African singer and songwriter Tyla (Tyla Laura Seethal) has made significant strides in the music industry since her debut in 2019. Her international breakthrough came with her single “Water,” released in July 2023, which became a top 10 hit in several countries. Tyla’s self-titled debut studio album, “TYLA” features a blend of amapiano and pop genres, a style she calls “popiano.” The album includes guest appearances from artists such as Kelvin Momo, Tems, Gunna, Skillibeng, Becky G, and Travis Scott. At just 22 years old, Tyla is poised to continue her ascent in music, bringing her unique sound and vibrant personality to a global audience.

The late Alice Coltrane, a renowned jazz musician, composer, and spiritual leader, left behind a rich musical and spiritual legacy. “The Carnegie Hall Concert” is a posthumous release of a previously unreleased recording of her historic 1971 performance at the prestigious venue. The album captures the raw energy and spiritual depth of Alice Coltrane’s music during a pivotal moment in her career, just a few years after the passing of her husband, John Coltrane. The release of this album serves as both a historical document and a testament to her enduring influence in the world of jazz and beyond.
