Beautiful 2024: A Breast Cancer Fashion Show Like No Other!

Come join us for a fabulous evening at the Wisconsin African American Women’s Center for a cause that’s close to our hearts. Witness survivors strut their stuff on the runway in stunning outfits, showcasing courage and beauty while sharing thier stories. This isn’t just any fashion show, it’s a celebration of strength and resilience. Lets celebrate life together and raise awareness in style. See you there!

On October 26th, 2024, at the Wisconsin African American Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee, Chandra’s Breast Cancer Models Inc, will perform a fashion show entitled, “BEAUTIFUL 2024.” Featuring breast cancer survivor models for the purpose of enhancing our celebration of life. We are also looking for seed money to launch a transitional housing program for women under breast cancer treatment including those with financial hardships and even homelessness. Your pledge will support research and local services to those affected by this unpredictable disease.

I am a breast cancer survivor. The purpose of the event is to highlight the signs of early detection. Early screening refers to tests and exams used to find a disease, such as breast cancer, in people who do not have any symptoms. Most doctors feel that early detection for breast cancer saves thousands of lives each year. Many more lives could be saved if even more women and their health care providers took advantage of these tests.

The fundraising goal of your monetary/in kind gifts and services for this event has no limit, all donations are welcome. A percentage of ticket sales will go to Susan G Komen foundation for early detection and screening. A percentage will go toward launching (S.H.O.C.) Survivors House of Champions, an upcoming transitional housing project that would specialize in housing services for the homeless, uninsured, or underinsured. Both men and women survivors, in addition to those with a current diagnosis of cancer. The remainder of proceeds will go to Chandra’s Breast Cancer Models Inc, for promotional services and seed money. All monetary donations are greatly appreciated, please consider the following event sponsorship opportunities below.

I enjoy traveling, hiking, swimming, learning new languages, and writing (both poetry and short stories). In the clinic, I take pride in being meticulous in my attention to detail, being empathetic and listening carefully to each person’s story, and striving to provide state of the art cancer treatment, all while clearly explaining each decision. I work with each patient to come up with a treatment plan that takes into account both their medical history and their personal philosophy and wishes. I look forward to meeting you and helping you along your journey.”
