Unraveling Hair Discrimination and the Implications of the CROWN Act
Led by Black women, the “Creating a Respectful and Open World for Natural Hair” (CROWN) Act was started to stop race-based hair discrimination. Since then, 22 states have enacted CROWN Acts. Join this important conversation about the need for legislation to protect hair textures, the politics of race-based hair discrimination, and the implications on mental health within the workplace and in educational spaces.
