The unabashed, unfiltered authenticity of Tianna Esperanza Radio Milwaukee

Tianna Esperanza is an artist that refuses to leave her authenticity at the door. She was born into a family that already had one legendary artist, but she is determined to never use her grandmother’s fame as a springboard for her own success. Esperanza is legitimately creating her own.

Her album Terror is not for the weak. She dives into subjects that most people don’t talk about behind closed doors. In her HYFIN interview Element Everest-Blanks, the TED Talk speaker discussed what it was like to watch people swoon over her grandmother, what it felt like to be fetishized in relationships and what inspired her to write a song at the age of 14 that would end up being her first single.

Esperanza is down to earth and funny. She’s witty without being pretentious. She’s not an artist obsessed with fame. While most 24-year-old recording artists are concerned with the latest fashion at the MET Gala, Esperanza would rather have a conversation about the many layers of sexuality, and racism in America.

Her album “Terror” is a must listen for anyone who wants to hear an artist who has mastered multiple genres and created a piece of work that will stand the test of time.
