Alt.Latino

Alt.Latino is a program by NPR Music dedicated to showcasing Latin Alternative music and rock in Spanish. Hosted by Felix Contreras, and at times co-hosted by Anamaria Sayre, the show aims to celebrate the evolving and fast-growing global Latinx community through its diverse musical landscape. Alt.Latino features a mix of episodes that include discussions with living legends and rising stars in the Latinx music scene, exploring Latinx culture, heritage, and shared experiences.

The program also highlights new music from around the world, presenting a round-up of favorites and new discoveries in the genre. After taking a brief hiatus to retool and introduce a new co-host, Alt.Latino returned to NPR Music, continuing its mission to let Latinos tell their stories through music without any external filters
