It definitely isn’t everyday that we get to talk to Hip-Hop Royalty and one of the living embodiments of the genre but, today we did. DJ Jazzy Jeff is an icon and legend, and your favorite DJ’s favorite DJ.

The Philadelphia native has a long and storied career going back nearly 40 years. His early days as the DJ on the classic LP ‘He’s The DJ, I’m The Rapper’ alongside a gentlemen by the name of The Fresh Prince (Will Smith-a talented gentlemen himself) through his days as a producer for other artists is well documented and even more well received.

HYFIN Music Director, Anthony (A-BIZ) Foster, recently sat down with the legend ahead of his Summerfest 2026 Gig to talk about his legacy, his planning and how he connects to a crowd. We also delve into his production career, how his caeer began and what is next.

Always a party rocker at heart but also a thoughtful and living testament to the power of Music. The Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff!!!
